In a normal muggle school, there would be a physical education class that would make the students run, lift weight- get healthy in general. But since the wizarding world didn't value that as much as the muggles, there was no gym or class to help students stay fit. So that's why Sly always walked out to some secluded part of the field right behind the castle to work out. He usually did very intense training- leading to lots of sweat and lots of tone. Currently, he was shirtless, busy finishing up the set of pushups before running to the other side of the field to drop down and do another set.

Catherine was outside, as was per usual to her behavior, looking for a subject to sketch as she held her pad of paper to her chest. She'd sketched almost every square inch of the school- twice, and needed something new. She'd found herself wondering towards a quieter section of the grounds, and seemed to be alone, but then she saw someone. It looked like a male student... working out? She tilted her head at the tall figure- taller than her surprisingly, examining him. She nodded to herself. He'd be a fit specimen. She flopped herself onto the grass quietly and turned to a clean page in her sketchbook and began drawing silently.

Sly huffed as he pushed himself from the grass an onto his feet, sprinting across the field to drop down again for another set of push ups. It was only until after this exercise he noticed a girl nearby, occasionally glancing at him. "It's too late for me to be getting new spectators...",he mumbled, remembering the first week that he came here- he had many onlookers. But he was considered a normal student by now. Maybe she was late to the party? Who knew, Sly ignored her for now, looking forward and stretching out his limbs.

Catherine brushed a piece of hair out of her face as she looked back down to her page, biting her lip softly as she did her best to draw her model precisely as she saw him. She was more experienced with nature scenes than people, but she felt she was doing alright capturing this young man's essence. Her proportions were right, her shading was good. She ran her pencil back over a line in the abs area, darkening it and making it more defined.

Sly yawned quietly as he finished up his training. He was glistening with sweat and still breathing heavily. But despite that, he walked over to the girl silently and appeared over her shoulder without making a sound,"I personally think I'm not that tone there yet..." He smiled and wiped some sweat off his hand before holding it out,"Hello Miss, I'm Sly."

Catherine looked up in surprise, blushing lightly at the closeness of the other student. She looked back down at her picture, fingering the corner. "O-oh.... I'm sorry.... I've never drawn a person before..." she apologized for her transgression that wasn't really a transgression. She idly tucked a piece of wavy hair behind her ear again. "I'm Catherine..." she returned when he gave him name.

He smiled and stood straight back up,"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Cathrine." He took a seat against the castle wall next to her to rest, deciding to make small talk. "I can help you if you want- be a model and such." He chuckled lightly at the idea- she seemed like the type to shy away from such things.

She twirled the pencil in her hand a little, needing something to do with them out of nervousness. "Ah... That's alright... You don't have to do that..." She said, keeping her eyes on the drawing she had made of Sly rather than him. It was a kind offer, and she wouldn't mind drawing him more.... She closed her eyes briefly and blushed. This is what she gets for trying something new.

The giant chuckled at her response, finding it cute that she was so shy about the offer. He always liked helping ladies with whatever they needed- it was how he was raised by his uncle. "Be a true gentleman...",he murmured to himself while staring off into the distance. But a few seconds later he shook his head as if to snap out of his daze. "Anyways, I guess you like drawing? That seems like a pretty cool hobby- my father was a painter.." He smiled as he remembered his later father, wondering if Cathrine also liked oil painting.

"Really? That's nice..." Catherine smiled softly. "I've always found painting to be a beautiful art... All the colors." She closed her sketchbook and slid her pencil into the spiral bind. "But, I've always stuck with my sketching. It's all I do..." She chuckled softly.

Sly nodded slowly in agreement- he always liked his father's portraits. But as far as he knew, they were scattered all around Europe. Only one of them was instantly available to him- a portrait of the Headmistress in her office. But then again, he had not easy reason for going there. The giant shook his head again to shake off the thoughts and continued the conversation,"Hey now, sketching is pretty important. You have to be able to have some good lines before coloring it, right?"

Catherine tilted her head again, shrugging one of her shoulders up to meet it. "I suppose." she agreed with a small smile. "Do you draw or anything?" she asked, her curiosity turning towards him and his own hobbies.

Sly looked up to the sky and scratched his cheek,"A-Ah, me.....not really. I like potions making...." This small moment of self reflection actually showed how much Sly really did. All he did mostly was study, help people and/or fight. "Hm....fist fights. Those are interesting..." He shrugged, not really sure what else to say.

Fights... Catherine glanced him over briefly. He seemed like the kind to win any he got into considering his height and the workout she'd watched him complete. You could say she didn't do much either outside her school work and her sketching. "I like potions, too." She smiled, trying to connect with this boy. "It's one of my better classes, actually."

"Really? It's actually my best class..",he said with a smile. It seemed like the two were going to be able to keep a good conversation going after all. By now he was breathing normally and was still shirtless. Deciding it was maybe time to stop his trainin, Sly raised his wand and whispered, "Accio.." From several feet away his cloak and a shirt had returned to his side.

Catherine set her sketchbook on the grass beside her and brought her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. She liked Sly... He was nice, and they seemed to have enough in common to have a nice conversation.

Their conversation went on as he stood up and buttoned up his dress shirt, not bothering to tie the tie or tuck it in properly. He also had slung the coat over his shoulders but not through the sleeves. Sly liked the conversation- Catherine seemed like a nice enough Gryffindor. But soon the sky started turning dark and the stars begun shining. "Ooops- I think we may have chatted the day away.."

Catherine looked about her, having not noticed the darkening sky or latening time. "Oh, it seems we have..." She picked up her sketchbook and stood up to her full height, straightening out her skirt with her free hand. "I had a lovely time talking to you, Sly." She smiled softly.

Sly stood up from his seat and patted the grass from his rump- noticing that Catherine was nearly as tall as him. This was a definite surprise- but he didn't mind it. "It was a pleasure talking to you too Miss Catherine."

"I hope to see you again, soon." Catherine said, giving a small wave to Sly.

Sly took a bow before heading off to his respective tower. Seeing as with her being a Gryffindor, her tower was directly opposite to his, a Slytherin. But as he walked along the hallway Sly actually grinned- she might of been truly the only person he could've seen eye to eye to.
I think Catherine has a crush-
