Literature Text

Sly returned to the library once again with the usual rumor talkers watching from a distance- luckily there were less. "They must start to be running out of steam I guess," he mumbled as he took out his books, starting to get to work on his studies. He was as valiant as ever, managing to keep his classes up with straight O's.

Svetlana stepped into the library, hearing the quiet mutterings. She sighed. Barely able to hear anything specific, she was able to for enough to tell the giant Slytherin was back. Did these students really have nothing better to do? Finding a more quiet corner she sat at a table and pulled out her potions text book to work on a report they had been assigned.

Sly continued to write down his essay for both his Potions class and his Alchemy homework with easy, although the murmuring from the others were starting to chew on his nerves. He gave a sigh and stood up, hoping to find a more quiet area until he noticed it was the little(at least by his standards) girl from before. The giant pulled out a chair and sat down with his books, giving a soft smile,"Hey Miss Svetlana," he whispered in a hushed voice. After all, this was a library.

Svetlana looked up from her paper, in the middle of biting her lip. "Oh, hello, Sylvester." she greeted, tilting her head back some so she could see his face clearly.

He gave a small nod, looking back down to his own work so he wouldn't disturb her. Several minutes passed by as he wrote his own essay, stopping every so often to dip the pen in ink so he may continue writing. After a while he slumped in his chair to rest and wiped his cheek- unknowingly giving himself a smear of black ink on his cheek. "So, exactly what are you working on?"

The Russian held back a laugh at the stain on his face. "An essay for potions." She looked down again, making a discontented face. It was obviously not her best subject. "Over the use and affects of a calming draught."

Sly slowly smiled; it was potions, his best subject. The teen leaned closer and set his elbows on the table as he read over her paper at an angle,"Calming Draught huh...it should be fairly simple enough. Take a sip and you'll be at ease- although I guessing that won't cut it for your professor," The slytherin had his own N.E.W.T level potion book and even a personal set at the common rooms, regularly practicing the craft. He even knew many tricks and odd variations on brewing various potions.

"Mhm." Svetlana nodded. She barely had a paragraph written down on the sheet in front of her. She sighed. "I should be paying more attention in class..." she mutter under breath, running her fingers through her bangs.

The giant chuckled ever so slightly and closed his own book,"I'm rather well versed when it comes to potions. I could help you out with your classes if you want,"

Svetlana looked a little surprise. "Would you?" her eyes wandered back to her paper. "That would be very helpful."

He nodded, moving over to her side and taking a look at her paper again,"Okay, so the draught is relatively simple to make. It's also very useful for those with anxiety problems and such. But it doesn't work for physical pain." He closed his eyes and continued to think of things.

Svetlana began to write down things as he spoke, nodding. She looked up when he stopped. "I believe I have enough now to finish my essay. Thank you." she noticed the black ink mark across his cheek again, and the edge of her mouth twitched upward as she tried not to laugh at it.

Sly smiled again and took a slight bow,"Your welcome Miss Svetlana," He sat back down across the table but noticed her expression, being very observant of things,"Why hide the smile? What's funny?"

She pointed up at his face. "You've got an ink smear across your cheek. Half your face is black." she pulled a handkerchief from her bag and held it out to him. "Perhaps you should clean it off."

Sly raised his eyebrow and slightly turned his head in confusion,"What?" He touched his face and noticed some black on his hands, giving a sigh and taking the handkerchief,"Thank you miss, although my name is Schwarz, so I guess that fits.." He chuckled at his own joke- Schwarz meant black in German.

"You're welcome." she said as he took the handkerchief. She chuckled lightly at his joke.

He smiled and sunk back in his chair, returning to his essay paper. It was silent for now and honestly quite boring if you thought about it but that was because Sly was actually behaving. If it were outside the library or classes, he'd still behave but would accept any fight offered to him.

Svetlana put away her essay and text book, standing. "Once again, thank you for the help." she said to Sly.

Sly nodded, not bothering to stand up due to just the height difference,"You're welcome," He guessed that she'd be off since it seemed like she finished her studies.

And right he was. She gave a wave and began out of the library.

He nodded and returned back to his own work, wondering what else he'd might do after he finished his essay.
