Russia and Irelandwearing a scarf around her neck. She was holding a book trying to pretend to read it, but it was upside down...She kinda stared off into the distance bored with waiting. She was waiting for someone to get there.Svetlana came into the common room from who know where, beginning to make her way to the dorms.Haze snapped out of her daze upon seeing Svetlana and haphazardly threw her book and incognito disguise behind her and bounded over to Svetlana stopping directly in front of her. "Helllo Miss Svetlana! I almost missed you!" She said in a very cheery tone.Svetlana stopped abruptly from the sudden appearance of the girl. "Um... Hello..." She said. She didn't know this girl....."Come on!" She said grabbing her wrist and dragging her over to once of the blue couches that were empty. "So is Russia really all freezing cold and snow?" She asked her with a smile.Oh.... She just wanted to know about the Motherland. Svetlana paused before answering in a slow voice, Russian accent very appar
A Patronus Can Change?Svetlana ran her fingers along the many Dusty spines of the books in the charms section of the library. She had some free time, since Marvie didn't seem to want to pull her into his pranks currently- or rather she hadn't run herself into his pranks currently. She pulled a thick tome titled Advanced Magic and Charms and took it to a plush, overstuffed arm chair. Setting the book in her lap, she opened to the table of contents. She turned the pages once more to a section about patronuses. They'd intrigued her since they had learned the spell in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Most of what it said she'd already heard from Professor Keen when they learned the charm in class, but something else caught her attention...It was about corporeal patronuses. Svetlana had managed to produce a strong owl as her own, but this sentence.... Said they could change? She ran her fingers over the words lightly as she reread them. 'Patronus forms, however, are subject to change if the caster goes
The Dark Figure- MelodyMelody had been sitting. She looked around at the housemates around her. Laughing and enjoying this dinner. She smiled as well, seeing how many word snippets she could read from the rapid chatter. Never enough to fully understand what the groups were talking about, but it was good practice for her.Her smile quickly dropped as the lights went out and the movement of mouths stopped. What was this? She looked around, but the dark was too much. She felt the heavy vibrations as the doors to the Great Hall were thrown open, a figure appearing. This figure was even darker than the thick darkness already around them. Melody shivered as the room began to cool and the figure made its way closer in. She didn't see as the headmistress yelled, or the figure screamed an unforgivable curse. She was too focused on that cold.... She turned as a flash of light caught her eye, to see professor Keen in front of headmistress Rainmore, protectively. What had just happened...?
The Dark Figure- ReedReed sat in the Great Hall. All was great as the start of the Quidditch season approached! Gryffindor would, of course, dominate. He'd be sure of it. But, the laughter- from Gryffindor and the other houses alike, abruptly stopped when someone suddenly came into the dining hall.He can feel himself physically shiver at the unnatural cold. The darkness is thick and palpable. It's suffocating, more so as the dark figure walks loudly past. The only thing that seems to move is his rapidly beating heart. There are shouts and quick screams as there's a yell of 'crucio' and Professor Keen's quick save. Reed is suddenly able to breath again. His mind focused on one thing. Melody. He had to get to her. He had to keep her safe. He goes to stand, but is held back. Ismene holds him by the arm. Her eyes plead him to stay. Melody will be alright. He'll be the one in danger if he gets up now. With another fleeting glance towards the Ravenclaw table, frantically searching the piercing darkness wi
Team BSIt was Quidditch practice for the Ravenclaws, and most of the team was out. They were still trying to find a few chaser's but half the positions were already set in stone. Interestingly, Marvie was appointed the Seeker- the one job that was very important to the entire game.Just their luck.Dim was beater. A good position for him, considering the sometimes volatile temperament of the boy. Let out any violence, ya know. Not that it helped, though. He often targeted other members. Ah well. He was already on his broom, hovering above the ground as he waited for the few members the team had.Marvie quickly made his way down the field, hastily shoving an arm into the blue cloak that the team wore. He was late from a small conversation with Svetlana, which over time turned into a huge argument over how dangerous it was to sneak into the forest to continue his rookie wand experiments. He managed to hop onto his broom and hover next to Dim, out of breath from his rush,"S-Sorry...just was busy
He's Too SweetThis was Melody's first visit to Hogsmeade,so she didn't know the town very well. She had lost her brother and best friend, and now wandered from shop to shop searching for them or someone else she knew. Her current wandering led her to Honeydukes, the candy store.Jasper hung around just inside the sweet shop.He searched for some way to rig the Chocolate frogs, but was having no luck. The boy browsed for a short while, however he didn't have much of a sweet tooth and was about to leave.Melody, on the other hand, did have a liking to sweet things. She was a bit busy looking at the many displays of things, not really looking where she was going like she should have; this led her to suddenly finding herself bumping into Jasper.Jasper glanced down at the tiny girl, immediately recognizing her."Melody!" he exclaimed, placing a hand on her shoulder so neither of them would fall backwards. Her head turned as she bumped and felt a hand rest on her shoulder. A light blush formed on her cheeks as
