It was late afternoon, classes for the day were over. Outside the castle it was deserted as everyone returned to their common rooms. Deserted besides a small girl, crouched at the ground, looking around frantically.

Max was walking through the courtyard, twirling his wand around wondering what mischief he could do before having to met up with his sister when he noticed the little Ravenclaw girl. He walked over to her curious. "Yo girly, what cha doing?"

The little Ravenclaw looked up as she was spoken to. "Huh? oh..." She said when she saw the older student above her. "I'm looking for my Owl... She got out..." looking for an Owl on the ground? What...?

"...Um..." He crouched down to her level and scanned the ground. "I don't think Owls would be on the ground Girly. Usually they're in the sky." She said pointing up.

Chrysanthemum shook her head quickly. "Not mine... She's a burrowing Owl..." She looked around some more. She looked really upset.

"Oh a burrowing owl, eh?" He said searching the ground, already deciding to help her. "Well why would she hide from her adorable master?" The ravenclaw was adorable, obviously too young for his tastes though.

Chrysanthemum nodded. "I don't know... She just gets out sometimes... Shes adventurous..."

"Hmmm, well I could probably bring her to you right now...though I'm not sure if that way would be the best..." He said thinking off into space trying to figure out if his plan would hurt the owl.

Chrysanthemum salted her head slightly. "Huh...?"

"The spell Accio would work, if I knew your owl's name."

Accio.... Not a particularly familiar spell for the first year. That was the.... One that.... Brought stuff to you! She remembered. She'd seen it used by other students once or twice. "Her name is Ramona." Chrysanthemum told him.

"Alright be prepared, she might come shooting out." He said pointing his want at the ground and moved it in an arch. "Accio Ramona!" He said, hoping it's work.

Chrysanthemum watched the ground in anticipation, but also slightly worried about what the magic would do to her beloved pet. There was a squeak. A bird squeak. Then, suddenly Ramona appeared out of a little hole in the ground towards the two students.

"There she is, cutey like her owner." He said putting away his wand.

The small bird hopped into the equally small girl's arms and she snuggled her softly immediately. "Thank you so much!" Chrysanthemum said to the older boy. Then she turned to the bird, scolding it for getting out.

"Glad you have you're owl back Girly." He said with a smile, patting the girl on the head.

"My name is Chrysanthemum." best stop him before 'girly' became a nickname.

"Pretty name. I'm Max." He said smiling. "You should probably keep that owl in check so she doesn't cause you any problems."

Chrysanthemum pet the owl's head softly and it cooed. She nodded. "I do my best... But she's sneaky... She gets out..."

He lightly poked the owl. "You need to listen to your Master little one." First years had it hard enough, he was sure this girl didn't need an owl that liked to burrow away.

The owl fluffed its feathers up as it was poked, making a disgruntled sound. Chrysanthemum 'shhhh' ed it, stroking its head. "Thank you again, Max." She said.

"It's no problem Miss Chrysanthemum. If ya ever need help don't be afraid to ask." He said winking. "I have to go for now, hopefully I'll see you around." He said waving.

Chrysanthemum waved back, cradling her little Owl in her arms before hurrying off towards Ravenclaw tower.
