Personality: Madame Jock is a very nurturing and motherly woman, having never had children of her own. Her sole instinct it seems is to take care of others. She's a sweet (if sometimes strict) lady who puts everyone else's needs before her own. A stickler for rules, she gets upset with students who come to her from fights or jinxes or hexes, often scolding them as a mother would, though she is never truly cold or harsh. She always seems to be cheery, to keep the hospital wing from being dreary. She loves all people dearly. She also seems to be wise beyond her years, which is quite opposite the behavior that seems a decade younger than she is.

Background: Coleen's mother was a doctor at Saint Mungo's hospital and her father was an herbologist who focused on plants with healing abilities. The eldest of seven children, she was often put in charge of the pack when her parents got busy. This is where she earned her motherly nature and love of younger people. She was like a second mother to her siblings, especially after her mother passed from contracting a disease from a patient she had actually managed to save. She always did her best to keep them happy, though. She decided to follow in her mother's footsteps after graduating from Hogwarts (she was in Hufflepuff) and became a nurse at Saint Mungo's until she was offered the position of Matron at Hogwarts at the age of 22.
