Early morning. Breakfast time. That's what time it was. Svetlana sat in the Great Hall, in a less populated area of the Ravenclaw table, a plate that was full of barely touched food in front of her. Every once in a while she would pick a piece off and put it in her mouth, but she mostly just sat there with a bored look on her face as she stared around at the socializing groups of students around her.

Marvie yawned as he made his way through the Great Hall, his hair still a mess due to the usual morning bedhead he receives. He opened his eyes and took a seat in front of Svetlana- someone who he deemed a friend already. Nonchalantly, he slide her plate in front of him and begun lazily eating. It was clear that he was probably up late last night, due to the fact that he wasn't his usual energetic self. He didn't even bother greeting her!

Svetlana looked at him with a malcontented face, but she didn't say anything. She turned away, her gaze once more falling on the student body. She seemed to have a dissatisfied feeling towards everyone.

After finishing the eggs and hash browns, it seemed like Marvie was re-energized once more and started smiling. But he noticed Svetlana's discontent and frowned,"Hey, what's wrong Lana?"

Svetlana looked at him again. "Nothing." She twirled her wand and a new plate floated before her, along with a goblet of likely pumpkin juice.

Marvie was still concerned, wondering if he did something wrong. The brunet began wondering if she was still cold like last time. If so, he knew what'd the trick would be. "Hey, you think should mess with the Gryffindors? They're a rowdy bunch- get them to lose a few house points?" He cracked a mischievous smile as he took out his wand.

"It's not up to me whether or not you do anything to them." She said with a sigh. He was such a child, she thought to herself.

His grin slowly started disappearing as he begun slumping his shoulders- maybe he had done something wrong. Still, he held on to his smile and fixed his hair a bit,"Well, doing this stuff isn't fun without a few friends. I mean, it's sorta pointless unless you have someone who gets a laugh out of it." He finally fixed his hair and spun his wand in his hand,"Come on Lana, we all need a bit of chaos in our lives."

"I am rather content with my quiet." Svetlana said. She saw him slump, and a small part of her inside might have felt a little bad, but her cold exterior hid it well. If she were anywhere else she might already have gotten a book out to read.

Marvie stayed silent for the most part, stopping his wand spinning. But with a sudden grin he gave his wand a twirl and pointed it at her,"Lana, you're no fun. But pranks are fun- you should pull a prank." IT was now that he was trying to do it the hard way; getting her to shed her cold front. "Give it a chance and you'll have fun. It'll be better than you're quiet.."

"I'd rather not." She said with a stubborn frown. She didn't particularly care if he thought she was fun or not. She just sort of wished he could accept her ineptitude at socializing in any manner.

Marvie was just as equally stubborn with his endeavors to break her icy exterior, wondering exactly what would help him. She seemed to be interested in his pranks, but wasn't willing to do the same. He tapped his wand on her plate and said,"Wingarduim Levioso.." With those magic words, he plate began levitating into the air, a very minor prank for his standard.

She gave a sigh and an eye roll. "If you're quite done now..." She stood up from her spot at the table. With a wave of her wand her spot cleared and she began to exit the Great Hall.

Marvie held a fairly content smile until he noticed the eye roll. That moment, he thought to himself,'Oh crap..' Svetlana excused herself from the table and began walking out of the Great Hall, something Marvie didn't expect her to do. He sat at the table for a while until he started to feel the guilt,"I'mma need to go..", he said to nobody in particular. The brunet stood up and stumbled out of his seat, walking with her and trying to apologize to her,"Hey Lana, I-I'm sorry 'bout the little trick. I just thought it'd cheer you up a bit?"

She continued walking a few paces ahead of him. "It's fine." She said in her usual, short tone.

"Oh, you're fine. That's great, 'cuz for a moment there I thought you were genuinely annoyed!" He kept up with her pace, even trying to walk right next to her,"How 'bout we go do something fun or something. Ride a broom, check out the other houses?"

She stopped walking. He really wasn't going to stop, was he? "Fine." She submissed.

Marvie continued to walk once she stopped, tripping over a raised lip to the next hallway. He did not expect her to accept so easily, so this time he was speechless for a moment."O-Oh um....lets go check out the courtyard. I'm sure we could see some interesting things there?"

"Alright." She stood with her arms crossed, waiting for him to lead the way.

Marvie looked at her and started walking towards the courtyard, wonder exactly what he would do there. He never actually had planned this far ahead, so once they arrived he didn't do anything. He did have his own broom, and a simple accio charm would bring it to his hands. But he wasn't sure if Svetlana had one of her own.

She indeed did not have a broom of her own, having never the urge to know how to ride or to play any broom centered sports. She looked to be getting a little impatient as she waited for Marvie to do something.

Marvie glanced back to Svetlana, seeing her impatience and raised his wand,"Accio?" Within a minute his broom arrived to his side; it was a rather weathered broom but it was one of the faster kinds. In secret, he rode his broom at night and even learned how to stand on it- making a great seeker. But he wasn't exactly as passionate in sports like his father was. "Um...wanna take a small ride?"

She seemed to think about the offer momentarily, as if judging if she should. Judging her trust in Marvie, which seemed to be somewhat there as she nodded and replied with a "Yes."

Marvie cautiously mounted the broom as it began to hover, waiting for Svetlana to hop on behind him. In his mind, he was thinking,'What am I doing...'

Slowly, cautiously, Svetlana mounted on the broom behind him in a sidesaddle position and steadied herself.

Marvie grew a bit more bolder and back to himself, looking back to Svetlana and grinned,"Well, hold on tight. It'll be a bit fast" With that, the bolted upwards and into the air, where they could see the school grounds in its entirety. "This is nice, ain't it?"

She gripped the broom tightly, though still seemed a bit shaky. She looked around herself as best she could. She'd never been this high before...
"It is quite lovely..." She said quietly. The slightest ghost of a smile played on her lips, though it did not form entirely.

The brunet wasn't looking at her, he was focusing on the people below, so he didn't get to see the slightest hint of a smile for on her face."You know Lana, I know this cool trick I could do with my broom. But I never actually tried doing it with another person before..." He was referring to his tries at riding while standing up. "Wanna see it?"

"Huh?" She was pulled from her little bubble back to Marvie and his question. "I don't know..." She sounded the slightest bit nervous. It was still her first time on a broom after all.

Marvie let go of his broom and started flying without using his hands- another skill of his. "Ah, well maybe later? It's a really cool thing that I figured out how to do 'cuz of something i use to do back in the muggle world." When he was younger, his parents somehow gifted him a bicycle to ride. He spent nearly every day riding it- getting into trouble with it and learning various tricks. Most of them were able to be used with a broom- just like riding a bike standing up. "Hey, have you've ridden a broom before? You seem nervous back there.."

At the sight of him not steering she almost seemed to grip the broom tighter. "Oh.... No... Never before..." She answered his question.

He glanced back and saw her, deciding to steer with one hand again. The brunet started to slow down and descend to be near the ground, just to reassure her,"Well, then this must be a nice experience..right?"

"It's certainly.... Different..." She said slowly. "But, not unpleasant." her grip loosened slightly as she grew a bit more comfortable.

"That's great, a little different is nice.." He eventually landed them onto a roof and got off, taking a seat on the shingles. "Why don't we relax a while? This is a nice place to just chill.."

Landing her feet on something somewhat stable, Svetlana seemed fine now. With a caution to her skirt she sat down next to Marvie on the rooftop, looking around.

He closes his eyes and leans back onto the roof, whistling a small tune. 'THis is nice, no studying, no people, no troubles." He opens his eyes and stares at Lana,"How do you relax? This is how I do it." Marvie gives a soft chuckle and grins. Students usually weren't allowed on the roof.

"Reading." such a Ravenclaw answer. She leaned back on her hands, staring at the sky. "But, this is nice." the faint smile formed on her lip once more, barely visible.

Marvie nods at her answer- it was obvious. But once he saw her smile, or at least he thought it was a smile, he grinned and rested his head against the roof. "Lets stay like this for a while, surely the teachers wouldn't mind."

"Alright...." She nodded.

Marvie gave a nod back and continued to relax. The two would probably stay on the roof until they were scolded to come down, surely lose a few house points for the stunt. But that was nothing for the brunet, he was use to it. All that mattered to him that day was that he managed to get Svetlana to smile.
Everything with these two will be titled with something bird related
